- Aluminum
- Al is the symbol for aluminum, which is a chemical element in the boron group with an atomic number of 13 and atomic weight 26.981539. Its density is 2.70 g•cm−3, while its melting and boiling points are 933.47 K(660.32 °C, 1220.58 °F) and 2792 K,(2519 °C, 4566 °F) respectively. Al is a silvery white, soft metal with good ductility, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, heat resistance and radiation resistance. Usually, aluminum products encountered in daily life have been oxidized and mostly appear silver gray. It is the third most abundant element (after oxygen and silicon), and the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust. With its good performance, aluminum is often made into bars, sheet, foil, powder, ribbon and filiform that can be widely used in different areas, including aviation, construction, automobiles, electric power and many other important fields of industry.

- Aluminum: discovery and industry development
- Compared with other metals, Aluminum was discovered relatively late. In 1808, Humphry Davy identified the existence of a metal base of alum, which he at first named alumium and later aluminum...
- Aluminum: health effects
- Thanks to medical developments, we have gradually realized the pernicious effects aluminum can have.In 1989, the World Health Organization (WHO) formally confirmed that aluminum is a food contaminant...
- Aluminum: resource distribution and production
- Bauxite resources are abundant in the world, with total stores of about 40~ 50 billion tonnes. Within this figure, the explored reserves total about 35 billion tonnes. Bauxite resources are quite centralized...
- Aluminum: uses
- As aluminum has abundant stores worldwide and many excellent properties, it is widely used in industry and in daily life.Determined by its properties, its main applications are as follows...
